MX Lookup

See which mail servers receive email for a domain and the order in which senders try them.

Enter the part after @, without a mailbox name.

Enter a value above to start. No account needed.

How this check works

We look up the domain’s MX records and sort them by priority. A lower number is tried first; equal priorities can share delivery.

What this check does not prove

MX records describe incoming mail, not who is allowed to send. A listed server does not prove a particular mailbox exists or that messages will reach an inbox.

Why are there several mail servers?

Providers often publish several MX records for resilience. Senders can try another server if the preferred one is unavailable.

What is a null MX?

A single MX record with priority 0 and a dot as its destination explicitly says that this domain does not accept email.
